No. FormSaver uses debounced saving — it only writes to storage 800ms after you stop typing. The performance impact is negligible.
FormSaver uses a smart fingerprinting system that identifies fields by their label text, placeholder, name attribute, and position — not just ID. So even if a site regenerates IDs on every load, it still restores correctly.
Yes! Named saves like "My Info" can be restored on any page. FormSaver will match fields by label name — so your "Full Name" field on one site maps to the "Full Name" field on another site.
Password saving is OFF by default. When enabled on your personal device, passwords are obfuscated in storage and never displayed in the extension UI. We strongly recommend NOT enabling this on shared or work computers.
Yes. The extension is built on Chrome's Manifest V3 which is compatible with Microsoft Edge natively. A Firefox version is also available on the Firefox Add-ons store.
